Clandon Park NT 1 mile

A grand 18th century Palladian mansion. Collections of furniture, porcelain and pictures. The gardens contain a grotto, sunken Dutch garden and a Maori meeting house. Restaurant. Tel. 01483 222482. The Queen's Royal Surrey Regiment Museum is based at Clandon Park and open on the same days 1200-1600.

There are buses from Guildford.
From Clandon Park it is 2 miles to Hatchlands Park using the footpath across the Golf Course.

Hatchlands Park NT 2 miles

An 18th century mansion with interiors by Robert Adam, set in parkland landscaped by Repton with open fields, ancient woodland and wildflower meadows. Large display of keyboard instruments in the House. Small garden by Gertrude Jekyll. Restaurant. Tel. 01483 222482.
Open Apr-Oct, House & Garden TWThSu & BH (also F in Aug) 1400-1700. Park open daily all year 1100-1700 (dusk if earlier).
There are buses from Guildford.
Pedestrians can approach Hatchlands Park through East Clandon village then enter the Private Road as shown on the map, there is no need to walk via the A246 to the main entrance.
